Controlling the urban areas with policies seems, yes, like the sort of thing a democracy would do.

Using fallacies and out of context quotes to mislead? Yes, this is something that happens in every election, on every side.

I mean, if your political opponents commit crimes, then yes, they should go to prison. The same is true of your political allies.

Sure. Well, my common sense says that if I took a bunch of classified documents home with me and tried to not return them, I'd probably be in jail.

This law applies to me, but not to my political overlords.

Exactly. Politicians can break that law. If I break that law, I'm going to jail. It's a crime for me, but when Trump does the exact same thing, it's dropped.
